Ganit Manthan program of Vichar Vatika is the most appropriate one required for today's children. Thinking, reasoning, application, understanding concepts, is real education which is missing in today's education system. Both (parents and students) in the Marathon run for marks are not ready to accept the fact ‘Marks without Knowledge has NO value’. I believe Vichar Vatika program can make a shift in thinking towards education by parents and students and create value for efforts put in by them. I recommend ‘Ganit Manthan’ to Students and try to convey the truth on benefit of education to parents.
According to me, the best part of the workshop was the 2 x 2 matrix of permutations and combinations of distinct and total objects. As I was introduced to the topic in prior I had some idea but the 2 x 2 matrix made them clearer. Also, we did not leave any problem incomplete that is we did not stop before getting the right answer. Every student was getting personal attention. Thank you Vichar Vatika, I had a great time and had fun. Looking forward to attend more such workshops.
The best part of the workshop was the technique of introduction of new topics and the arguments formed between us to sound our opinions about everyone's logical reasoning. The importance of understanding the formulae instead of mugging it and trying to use logical methods instead of some formulae printed at the back of our heads, was made clear in the workshop. The workshop had a cool and friendly atmosphere unlike other workshops where discipline and strictness prevail. Please conduct a summer camp based on combinatorics.
I loved the Vichar Vatika workshop. The best part was the way the faculty taught and made us understand each and every aspect of the particular topic. My takeaway from this workshop was the different ways in which you can solve a particular problem with different logics. The difference in this workshop, in comparison to the workshops I have attended till now, is that in other workshops you are given a problem to solve, but if we don't get how to solve it, then the teachers just solve it in the way the school does, but with you it was really a great way to learn. I would not suggest any change in the course. It was a really great experience, hope for more workshops by Vichar Vatika in future. Thank you!
Vichar Vatika's workshop on combinatorics was really inspirational, influential and thoroughly enjoyable for me. The part that I loved the most is the teaching methodology and the fun filled explanation given by the faculty. I can bet that a kid who feels that Math is boring, will change his decision and fall in love with Math after attending your workshop.
The workshop helped me to think on my own, in more than one way. Two days before the workshop, I was not able to solve a problem on Combinatorics. It was because I was thinking only in one way, thinking that it was the only way I could solve the problem. But after the workshop, I could solve the problem in two different ways (and getting the correct answer). From this workshop the biggest take away was that if I get an answer, whether it is right or wrong, I try to get the answer through another way and try to prove or disprove both the answers correct. Even if I haven't done any other workshop, I feel that the different thing in this one was that we students had been given freedom to use any method we wanted. I am eagerly waiting for the next workshop by Vichar Vatika on higher algebra and would love to enjoy a deep dive in the vast ocean of combinatorics with you. I really have no words to thank you.
I enjoyed the workshop a lot. I liked the way the faculty taught as he would interact with us constantly and go ahead with the topics only after each of us understood it perfectly. The best thing I learnt in the workshop was to break each question to the lowest level to understand it. Also under the topic of combinatorics, I have learnt to classify the questions under four quadrants.
